Improve Security of Your Mac OS X
1. Open System Preferences->Security.
2. Check Use Secure Virtual Memory.
3. Disable others not needed.
4. In Firewall, block all incoming connections.
5. You can also turn on FileVault to encrypt your home folders.
That's it!

Restore Your Mac OS X Using Time Machine
1. Connect your external drive where your Time Machine Backups.
2. Insert the Snow Leopard DVD provided. It will boot into Mac from the DVD.
3. Choose the Snapshots of your backup, then click Restore. It will delete the partition and restore the whole system. It will take several minutes to finish.
4. Reboot.
That's it! Your whole Mac system has been restored.
