Most Apple products come with 90 days of complimentary technical support and a one-year limited warranty. We recommend that you check your coverage before contacting Apple.


If more than 90 days and one-year warranty has expired, click check your coverage link and enter your serial number found in About This Mac on the menubar, and clicking more info.

For Macs With No AirPlay Mirroring Support In Mountain Lion

I know some of you guys are eager for this feature in Mountain Lion. AirPlay "mirrors" your mac to your TV using Apple TV wirelessly, but AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). So, if you have older like 2010 macs, you can't have this feature, which is a deal-breaker for some.


Fortunately, you can still watch your movies, slideshows, TV shows (U.S. and maybe other countries), listen to music on iTunes via Home Sharing using an Apple TV click here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4352.


If your computer is connected to other computers over a local network, you can share items in your iTunes library with up to five of those computers. While your computer is on and iTunes is open, others in your network can play your shared items, but can’t import shared items into their libraries.

If you want to import items from other iTunes libraries on other computers in your home network, you can turn on Home Sharing.

Sharing is intended for personal use only.

To share your library with other computers:

• Choose iTunes > Preferences, click Sharing, and select “Share my library on my local network.”
• Select the items you want to share.
• To require users to enter a password before they can see your shared items, select “Require password,” and enter a password.

In iTunes:

• Choose Advanced > Turn On Home Sharing.
• Type your Apple ID and password, and click Create Home Share. If you don’t have an Apple ID, click “Need an Apple ID?” and follow the onscreen instructions.
• Using the same Apple ID, repeat steps 1 and 2 on each computer.

Tip: For more information on how to use this feature, just open iTunes and on the menu bar, click Help and search for Home Sharing.


Note: Rented movies are not supported using this feature.

RSS Feeds Gone in Safari 6 Update, What Now?

After todays update of Safari to version 6, you maybe wondering where to put your Safari feeds. One way would be to put it on Apple's Mail since it has a built-in RSS feed reader:

• Open Apple Mail.
• On the menu bar, click File->Add RSS Feeds...
• Choose Browse feeds in Safari bookmarks. All the feeds in Safari will be listed.
• Tick all you want to include, and click Add.

Everything will load your feeds into your Apple Mail under RSS on the left side. You may also choose to put it in your Inbox section, by clicking Show in Inbox.

That's it!

How To Test Your Memory (RAM), And Other Hardware Of Your Intel-based Mac

Maybe you've just upgraded your memory or RAM, or you just want to test your hardware like your video card. Your Mac comes with two DVDs, which is in this case the installer and the Apple Hardware Test DVD.

Basically, you just insert the DVD and press 'D' key before the gray screen appears. It will boot the DVD and run Apple Hardware Test utility.

How To Fix Force Quit Safari

Resetting Safari will make your browser unresponsive, and thus force quitting it. One way to avoid this, is to reset safari with Close All Safari Windows checked. So, the next time you reset Safari, it will re-open it and load your homepage depending on your settings.

How To Fix iPhoto '09 Crashes When Exporting Slideshow

Every time you export to slideshow using iPhoto '09, it crashes. What worked for me is playing the slideshow first, before exporting the slideshow:

• Click on the Slideshow Play button below. Choose your theme and music and watch the slideshow.
• Then, you can now File->Export...->Slideshow and choose Mobile, or Medium.

How To Fix Magic Mouse Or Magic Trackpad Not Connecting To Mac

You might encounter that your magic trackpad is not connecting sometimes to your mac at boot or on your desktop. There are some reasons:

• Another bluetooth device is interfering with your trackpad.
• Or, you still have another mouse connected using USB or bluetooth.

This confuses your mac and results to without any connection.

• What you can do is if you have more than one mac, you put the other mac far enough without interfering with the other mac. Or, disconnect the other mouse attached to your mac.
• Restart your mac, and turn on your trackpad.
